How it works
Install, download the model once, work offline.
No server to host, no account to create, no IT department to call. Here is what happens on day 0, on day 1, and when the internet is gone.
Install
Download for Mac (Apple silicon) or Windows 11. Open the file; on a Mac drag Vult1 to Applications. The beta is not signed yet, so your system shows a one-time prompt; the download page explains it.

Download the model once
A banner offers “Download now”: about 9 GB of model files, checked after download and kept on your disk. Then open the Licence tab and start the 15-day trial with an e-mail address.
Once, online
Open a folder and work
Create a matter and drop PDFs, Word files, scans, e-mails or recordings. A queue shows progress. Then ask, black out, find the dates, sum up, export to Word or Excel.

What runs where.
Your documents and everything made from them stay on the left. The right side is four small requests, each one visible and switchable in Settings.
On your computer

Our servers, four channels
- Licence: your key or trial e-mail, a salted hash of this computer. At activation, then about every 30 days.on/off
- Model files: a request for a file. Once, at first start, and when a model is updated.on/off
- Statute packs: a request for a signed data pack, when you install or update statutes.on/off
- App updates: a request for the update manifest, only when you press “Check for updates”.on/off
None of these carries document content. Each one shows the time of its last contact in Settings.
The pull-the-plug moment
What happens when the network is gone.
Nothing. The model is a file, the index is a folder, the answers are written on this disk. The four channels below are the only things that notice.

The first weeks, day by day.
What needs the internet, and when. Only the first start and the trial key do.
Day 0: install and start, online once
Open the installer. On first start the app downloads its model files (about 9 GB) and checks them. You start the 15-day trial with an e-mail address; the server only checks that this computer has not had a trial before.
Day 1 onwards: the cable can come out
Every job runs on this computer. Documents, questions, answers, summaries and blacked-out values never leave it. The status line says so, and counts bytes sent today.
About every 30 days: a licence check, when you are online
A paid licence renews itself in the background when the computer is online. Without internet it keeps working for 30 days after the last check.
Computers that never go online
Ask us for an offline licence: a file sent by e-mail or carried on a USB stick, valid for up to 365 days and never past the paid period. The app finds the file by itself and asks you once to use it.
After the trial, or after a licence ends
The app becomes read-only: you can open, export and delete your matters, but not add documents, ask or generate. Nothing is deleted.

Your licence, two ways.
A key by e-mail for most offices. A USB stick with a voucher for computers that never connect.
By e-mail: a key you paste
After purchase your keys arrive by e-mail. Open the Licence tab, paste a key, press Activate. Each key works on one computer at a time and can move up to three times a month.
On a USB stick: for computers without internet
The stick carries the installer, the model files, the statute packs and a voucher. The app shows this computer’s request code; you enter voucher and code on a phone or any connected device and type the short activation code back. One voucher, one computer, no internet on the licensed machine.
A licence file (.vult1licence; an older .vultlicence file opens the same way) works too: double-click it, drop it on the window, or let the app find it on the stick.
The 15-day trial itself needs internet once: the server checks that this computer has not had a trial before. There is no offline trial.
