Every job, with the limit we measured next to it.
Everything runs on your machine. The figures come from tests we ran ourselves, on the test sets named here. We publish the limits because you should know them before you rely on a result.
Last measurement run: 21 October 2026, on real public documents. The changelog lists what changed since.Changelog
One window, one matter at a time.
Drawn from the app, not a stock picture: a records sheet, a confirmed deadline and the status line that counts what left the computer.

- 3The status line names the model and counts what left the machine today.
What it does, and where it falls short.
Eleven jobs. The right column is as important as the middle one.
| Feature | What you can do | Limits we found |
|---|---|---|
| Cited answers | Ask in French, Dutch, German or English. The answer names the passage and page; the app checks that figures in the answer appear in that passage and marks sentences it cannot confirm. It says so when the documents do not contain the answer (12 of 12 test cases). | About 1 answer in 8 was wrong and 1 citation in 8 did not support its answer, on 40 test questions. French answers were wrong more often than English. Open the cited page every time. |
| Black out personal data | Finds names, e-mails, phone numbers, addresses, bank account numbers and birth dates (all 42 in the test set; all 16 in two German documents). You accept or reject each one; the redaction is written into a new PDF and the result is read again to confirm the text is gone. | Tested on 5 short documents. Scans need the positioned-text step first. Always review the result before sharing. |
| Deadlines | Calculates dates such as “14 days after service” with the national rules and holiday tables of Germany (including the Länder), France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, lists every skipped day, and exports to your calendar after you confirm. | The rule tables follow the statutes but have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Verify every date. Steps are shown in English for now. |
| Summaries | Bullets, prose or key takeaways, in the document’s language, also for documents longer than the model can read at once. Figures that do not appear in the original are flagged. | Summaries give an overview and leave out exact figures. Use cited answers for specifics. |
| Translation | French, Dutch and German into English; English or French into German (quality 72 to 75 out of 100 on test paragraphs). | Other pairs were not measured. Check legal wording yourself. |
| Records sheet and chronology | A table of every document in the matter (date, type, parties, pages) and a dated chronology, exported to Word and Excel. | Built and used on our own test files; no accuracy figure yet. |
| Statute lookup | French (40,692 articles), Luxembourg (6,322) and Dutch (6,930) statutes, searched offline by article number or by meaning, each result with its official citation and “as of” date. | German statutes are prepared but held until a copyright question is answered by counsel. The right article was in the top 5 for 82 to 97 % of our own test questions. No case law. |
| Scanned PDFs and photos | Turns scanned pages into searchable text, about 1 % of characters wrong on clean and degraded scans. Phone photos of pages: about 12 % wrong. | Without a graphics chip a scanned page takes about 18 seconds. Photos need a graphics chip. Handwriting is not supported. |
| Dictation and meeting notes | Speak and get text in French, English or German, faster than real time. A transcript becomes a summary and a list of actions. | Word error 2 to 10 % on synthetic speech; real voices, accents and noise were not tested. Dutch dictation was not measured. |
| Your own templates | Fill your office’s Word templates from a form or from the matter’s facts; sample letters in French, German and Dutch are included. | The samples have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Text boxes and hyperlinks inside templates are not filled. |
| Matters and sharing | One workspace per matter. Export a matter as a signed, encrypted file for a colleague, or open it from a shared folder inside your office network. | Staff seats cannot ask questions, compute deadlines or use the statute index. |

What runs where.
Everything that matters stays on the left. Four small channels on the right, each one switchable.

Our servers, four channels
- Licence: your key or trial e-mail, a salted hash of this computer. At activation, then about every 30 days.on/off
- Model files: a request for a file. Once, at first start, and when a model is updated.on/off
- Statute packs: a request for a signed data pack, when you install or update statutes.on/off
- App updates: a request for the update manifest, only when you press “Check for updates”.on/off
None of these carries document content. Each one shows the time of its last contact in Settings.
Two kinds of seat.
A firm needs at least one lawyer seat. Staff seats do the preparation; lawyers ask, compute and look up.
Lawyer seat
Every job: cited answers, deadlines, statutes, black out, records sheet, summaries, translation, templates, dictation. One computer per seat; a seat can move to another computer up to three times a month.
Staff seat
Prepares files: documents in, black out, records sheet, summaries, translation, templates, dictation. No cited answers, no deadline engine, no statute index. A matter prepared on a staff computer opens on the lawyer’s, from a shared folder or as a signed, encrypted file.
Who checks what?
- Who is responsible for a wrong answer?
- You are, as with a junior’s draft. The app shows the page, so the check takes seconds.
- Who sees my documents?
- Nobody. See the network list on the security page. Offline and security
- Who updates the statutes?
- We do, as signed packs with an “as of” date. You install them when you choose.
Not supported, so you know.
- Handwriting
- A case-law database (the app links out to the official portals instead)
- Drafting briefs or opinions from scratch
- Windows on ARM, Linux, and 8 GB computers for the full feature set
- German statute search, until the copyright question is answered
- Voice questions in French; Dutch dictation
The model, named
Vult1 runs Gemma 4 (Apache-2.0) with smaller open-weight helpers for reading scans, finding passages and speech. Every generated text carries a provenance line: written on this computer, at what time, by which model, from which pages. The model can be wrong; the line tells you where to look.
